FOUNDER AND CEO

The journey of Lawy Afrik Foundation is born from the ashes of personal struggle and loss. I carry with me the weight of a childhood marred by the harsh realities of being a street kid, orphaned at the tender age of 12. In those early years, I bore witness to the challenges faced by orphans, vulnerable youth and women across Africa, struggling against the odds just to survive.

Driven by a burning desire to make a difference and fueled not by the promise of wealth or recognition, but by a profound sense of duty and compassion. Supported by the kindness of strangers who believed in my potential, I resolved to pay forward the blessings I received by uplifting those in need.

With little more than a second-hand machine and the dedication of a volunteer tailor from Tanzania, Lawy Afrik took its first steps, guided by a simple yet powerful ethos: to equip communities with the skills and opportunities they need to thrive.

The true measure of success lies not in profit margins or accolades, but in the transformative impact witnessed firsthand – from the streets of Mathare slum to the homes of widowed mothers struggling to provide for their families.

Though faced with challenges, from limited resources to the need for a better-equipped factory, the spirit of Lawy Afrik remains alive. For every obstacle, there exists hope in the form of individuals of goodwill, ready to rally behind our cause and lend their support.

My dream is to empower millions of Africans with the tools and skills they need to secure their livelihoods and nourish their families. It is a vision fueled by the belief that every individual, regardless of circumstance, deserves a chance to prosper.
