Dr. Eppo Bruins (PhD 1995, Utrecht University) is Chairman of the Advisory Council for Science, Technology and Innovation (STI). The Council is the advisory body to the Dutch government and parliament on STI policy issues. Bruins was an MP in the Dutch Parliament from 2015 until 2021 for the ChristenUnie party. His professional career spans twenty years in science policy, innovation and the management of public-private partnerships. Bruins is associate consultant for Leadership  insight, a one-to-one consultation developed  in South-Africa by YSA.  Eppo is passionate about young Africans doing amazing work in their communities.
